Application Window
The application window consists of the following elements:
- Main menu
- Toolbar
- Tree window
- Details window
- Validation window
Main Menu
Use the Main Menu for operations such as opening and closing ReqIF files and archives (ReqIFs), Help and license management.
Toolbar
The buttons in the Toolbar provide quick access to common operations.
Tree Window
The Tree window is a structural view of your ReqIFs along with other elements such as folders for Difference Analysis Reports and Exchange Process Timelines. For more information see Tree Window.
Details Window
Each time you select a folder or folder item in the tree window, the Details Window will update to show you detailed information on the selected item.
Validation Window
When you open a ReqIF, the Validation Window which is located below the Details Window, will contain messages that will help you understand whether the ReqIF contains any issues.
MyReqIFs Folder
The MyReqIF folder contains all your ReqIFs. At any time you can add or delete ReqIFs from this folder. Once you have added a ReqIF, you can view the contents and report any issues such as validation errors.
Difference Analysis [1]
This folder contains difference analysis reports. A Difference Analysis Report shows the differences between two ReqIFs. This feature is useful when tracking change between successive ReqIFs in an exchange process.

Exchange Process Timelines [1]
This folder contains your Exchange Process Timelines. An Exchange Process Timeline is a historical view of every ReqIF that is exchanged between two parties providing the ability to analyze change and check for compliance.
