Difference Analysis

The Difference Analysis feature allows you to select any two ReqIF archives or files and perform an analysis of the difference between them. This feature is most useful when comparing two ReqIFs in a sequence within an exchange process. Every type of difference is reported and the results can be exported to a CSV file for viewing in Microsoft Excel.

Note: this feature is only available in the REQIFpro and REQIFdev Editions of REQIFtoolkit.

How to Use this Feature

To use this feature, first decide the order in which the comparison should be made. Usually this would be in the order that each ReqIF was created. Then follow this procedure:

• Select ReqIF #1
• Select ReqIF #2
• Either click on the Difference Analysis button or select Run Difference Analyzer from the popup menu.

This will create and add a Report node to the Reports folder.
